Ghosthunters, by John Kachuba
May 25th, 2009 | By Fiona Broome | Category: Haunted places
Ghosthunters by John Kachuba is a page-turner for anyone who — like me — appreciates this genre of first-person stories of ghosts, ghost hunters, and haunted places.
The full title of this book is “Ghosthunters: On the Trail of Mediums, Dowsers, Spirit Seekers, and Other Investigators of America’s Paranormal World.”
I’m not sure that’s entirely accurate. Some of the best chapters in the book describe the author’s personal encounters with ghosts and his visits to haunted places.
Ghosthunters is a very cozy read. The author, John Kachuba, has colorful experiences to share. Reading this book is like listening to him tell ghost stories and legends. He talks about his own ghostly encounters, and describes the work of several other researchers and investigators.
This isn’t a ground-breaking book (no pun intended), but it is a very solid and worthwhile read, if you enjoy true, first-person stories about the paranormal world.
