Ghostly Adventures, by Christopher Balzano
May 15th, 2009 | By Fiona Broome | Category: Haunted places
Ghostly Adventures by Christopher Balzano contains some interesting information about various haunted places. Some are well-known and some are entirely new stories. The pull-out map of haunted locations is a nice addition.
Mr. Balzano is a well-respected ghost research in the Boston (MA) area. He has many stories to share.
However, Ghostly Adventures offers far more background and theory than actual adventures.
In addition, this book was rushed to print with minimal editing. I winced when I saw the errors in it, and I’m sure that Mr. Balzano did, too. (I’m sympathetic, because this happens to all writers.)
That’s too bad, because anything that Christopher Balzano writes is going to be entertaining. He’s an accomplished researcher who brings considerable expertise to his work.
If you’re a friend or enthusiastic fan of Christopher Balzano, this book may be worth buying, new.
Otherwise, you may be disappointed.
Ghostly Adventures is worth reading, but my advice is: Buy it as a used book or borrow it from the library.
