practicalpendulumbkPractical Pendulum Book by D. Jurriaanse seems like a must-own for any pendulum user.

To be frank, I’m learning to use a pendulum.  It’s more than just picking up a weight on a string, and asking it questions.  (That approach works for some, but in field tests it’s been unreliable with untrained team members.)

However, I’ve seen psychics such as Deb O’Leary (of Pelham Paranormal Research) achieve remarkable, accurate results with a pendulum during ghost investigations.

In fact, when I read this book, I discovered an entire world of pendulum use that I hadn’t understood before.

The full title of this book is Practical Pendulum Book: With Instructions for Use and 38 Pendulum Charts. The instructions — and especially the 38 charts — are well worth owning if you’re a pendulum enthusiast.

This is a small book, with just 96 pages.  Also, some of the comments are dated and or… well, a little odd.  I get the idea that the author is from another era (supported by the claim, has “worked with pendulums for over 60 years”) and perhaps another culture.

For example, the author talks about using a pendulum for the diagnosis of a person’s energy.  Comments include, “if the line is not straight across the body but moves diagonally, this indicates a sexual deviation.”

On the other hand, the rest of this book more than makes up for the brief content and quirky views of the author.

I especially like the charts designed — and questions suggested — for personal insights.  For example, “What is awaiting me?”  “What stands in the way of my happiness?”

Likewise, you can use a pendulum with health-related charts, to determine the best herbs and diet changes for your body.

Of course, ghost hunters will be most interested in charts that can be used (or adapted) for identifying the spirits that haunt and what keeps them here.

If you’ve wanted to learn to use a pendulum at a professional level and in many situations, I think this book is worth reading and probably worth owning.
